Narcotics

Combatting illegal drugs is a high priority for District Attorney Phil Sorrells.

Fentanyl overdose deaths are soaring, and the crisis is so dire that Sorrells created a court team dedicated to investigating and prosecuting narcotics cases in Tarrant County.

The team will pursue cases involving controlled substances, including heroin, cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine.  Anyone caught making and/or dealing illegal drugs in Tarrant County will face stiff sentences and high fines.

The war against illegal drugs has been a long-running fight in the United States, but it has become more urgent with the opioid epidemic and the fentanyl crisis, both which have led to a growing number of addicted users and overdoses.

This team of prosecutors will diligently pursue drug cases and work to make Tarrant County a safter place to live.
