It is my great honor to serve you as the 34th elected Sheriff in the colorful history of Tarrant County.

Nowhere in the country is the office of Sheriff held in higher esteem than the state of Texas. From small “one-horse” counties to thriving metropolitan metro areas, Texas’ 254 Sheriffs are as diverse as the counties we serve. All Texas Sheriffs embrace and honor the past, when “Old West” lawmen ruled with frontier justice and a six-shooter. Today, all Texas Sheriffs embrace modern crime-fighting, technology and the latest trends in criminal justice.

I invite each of you to explore our website not only to learn about the Sheriff’s Office but to also learn about the talented and dedicated staff who make this agency the very best it can be.

I could not be more proud of the efforts of the some 1,400 dedicated employees who serve the citizens of Tarrant County around the clock 365 days a year. They are the backbone of this organization and truly make TCSO the very best it can be.

Sheriff Dee Anderson
