The Criminal Division of the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office is the largest Division of the Office, and is charged with the responsibility to investigate and to prosecute the thousands of criminal allegations which are brought in Tarrant County each year.
The Criminal Division consists of a number of different
specialties within the Division, each dealing with a specific facet of
the Office’s prosecution responsibilities. Each of these individual
groups brings its own particular expertise and experience to that
portion of the Office’s responsibilities which it is designed to
address. These include: Intake; Grand Jury; Felony Courts; Juvenile;
Misdemeanor Courts; Post-Conviction; White Collar Crimes; Specials
Victims; Intimate Partner Violence; Worthless (Hot) Checks; and Gang.
The Criminal Division is staffed by more than one hundred and thirty-five (135) licensed attorneys, together with its attendant investigative, staff, and clerical personnel. It is directly supervised by Criminal Division Chief Larry Moore, and three Deputy Chiefs, Tiffany Burks, Dale Smith and Riley Shaw.
