Provides Tarrant County citizens a cost-effective, non-adversarial resolution to litigation or conflict

 

 

District Clerk 

Manages operations, records and funds for District Courts

Domestic Relations 

Child Support Services, Enforcement Office, Family Court Service and Community Supervision Unit

 

Elections 

Oversees federal, state and county elections

 

 

Facilities Management 

Supports county buildings, mail room, events and graphics/printing

 

Family Court Services 

Provides education, court services, social studies and supervised visitation and exchange

Fire Marshal 

Enforces the law and prevents and investigates fire incidents

 

 

 

Housing Assistance 

Funded by HUD to administer the Housing Choice Voucher program (Section 8)

Human Resources 

Manages job opportunities, current employee needs and volunteers

Human Services 

Provides social services and economic assistance to individuals and families

Oversees the County’s technology needs

Jury Services 

Manages jury selection and service

Justice of the Peace Courts 

Act as notaries public, hold inquests, perform marriages and oversee small claims cases

 

 

Juvenile Services 

Serves both juvenile offenders and victims

Law Library (Dell Dehay) 

Serves the legal research needs of the legal community and the public

Medical Examiner 

Assists in determining cause of death using laboratory and forensic science facilities

 

 

Office of Emergency Management 

Prepares for, mitigates against, responds to and helps recover from natural and man-made disasters

 

Public Health 

Safeguards the health of our community

Purchasing 

Responsible for assuring equitable treatment to all vendors

Resource Connection 

Provides the infrastructure that facilitates customers’ access to a wide variety of services

Sheriff 

Oversees the jail, criminal investigations, patrol and various programs

Tax Assessor - Collector 

Collects property taxes, processes motor vehicle transactions and issues alcohol beverage permits

An educational organization in cooperation with the Texas A&M University System

Transportation 

Responsible for county roadways and right-of-way for state highways
