The Diagnostic Clinical section of the North Texas Regional Laboratory is dedicated to supporting our Tarrant County Public Health providers and other regional partners with quality laboratory testing results to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.  We are a CLIA-certified laboratory that emphasizes quality assurance in our daily operations.

Our primary testing focus is for Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) using both immunological and molecular methods.  We provide rapid testing (STAT), routine screening, and confirmation for Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Trichomoniasis, HIV, Syphilis and Herpes.  See table below for the clinical testing menu.

Pre-approval is required for new public health stakeholders to submit to our laboratory. For more information, please contact the Clinical Laboratory Operations and Quality Coordinator at 817-321-4758 or e-mail: PH_NTRL@tarrantcountytx.gov.
