New Truth in Taxation Website

The 86th Texas Legislature modified the manner in which the voter-approval tax rate is calculated to limit the rate of growth of property taxes in the state.  A postcard is required to be mailed by all Appraisal Districts to alert taxpayers of the new Truth in Taxation website, which is  https://www.tarranttaxinfo.com/tax in Tarrant County.

This is an official website on which entities will update their tax rates in real time. This is NOT a “pay to protest” website. It is a taxpayer tool to better understand how your tax bill is impacted by each proposed tax rate. This website is maintained by Tarrant Appraisal District, not the Tax Office. The Assessor-Collector for each county is required to be listed on this card.  Visit the new website at https://www.tarranttaxinfo.com/tax.

Please note:  There is no charge for the information provided on the new website.  For best results, please enter https://www.tarranttaxinfo.com/tax in the address bar of your browser.  It is recommended that you bookmark the site for future reference.  You may be incorrectly directed to a sponsored website that charges for this information if you search through a search engine such as Google or Bing.

Your property tax burden is determined by your locally elected officials. The Texas Constitution requires local taxing units to make taxpayers aware of tax rate proposals and to afford taxpayers the opportunity to roll back or limit tax increases.
