Summary: Donor has had a long career as a secretary in the
automobile business in Fort Worth and Arlington, and has been
associated with County Judge Tom Vandergriff in his car dealership and
as his administrative secretary during his judgeship with Tarrant
County. She also previously worked for Sanford Webb Buick. Her
collection consists of business records and photographs. All
photographs are copies made from donor's family collection. Her
father, John J. Creed Jr., owned two neighborhood grocery stores in
the Fairmount neighborhood of Fort Worth during the 1930's.
1933 Buicks Pontiacs: Green canvas-backed loose leaf binder,
7 by 10 inches. Records of sales from Webb-Kent Motor Company, Lamar
at W. 13th Street and Burnett Street, Fort Worth. Sanford C. Webb,
president; Frank D. Kent, vice-president and sales manager. New Car
Records show model numbers, source of supply, frame, motor and key
numbers, wheels description, color, date delivered to new owner, and
purchaser's name. Used Car Records show cars on hand December 31,
1932, and used cars received and sold during 1933. Details show date
bought, name of seller, dollars received, model number, car name,
date of sale to new owner, new owner's name and amount of sale.
