April 18, 2020 (Tarrant County, TX) - Tarrant County Public Health (TCPH) today reported three more Tarrant County residents have died from COVID-19. The deceased include a female in her 70s from Mansfield, a female in her 60s from Fort Worth and a female in her 70s from Keller. Two of the women had underlying health conditions.
Tarrant County now has 38 confirmed deaths from the COVID-19 virus. 188 people have recovered. “Every loss of life is painful to report, and our condolences go out to the families of these residents,” said Tarrant County Public Health Director Vinny Taneja. He urged everyone to stay the course as we continue to navigate our way through the current pandemic.
COVID-19 causes respiratory illness with cough, fever, and shortness of breath and may lead to bronchitis and severe pneumonia. All residents should continue to practice the following preventive measures to protect themselves from the COVID-19 virus:
