    BACKGROUND:

     

    In 2012, a group of concerned citizens met with local business and community leaders, academicians and health officials to identify and address specific health issues affecting people who live, learn, work and play in Tarrant County. This group, now known as Tarrant County Voices for Health, identified aspects of local education, environment, health care access and community partnerships that must be addressed to improve the community’s health. This meeting introduces their plan and lays out steps for its implementation.

     

    In addition to many local citizens, officials and community leaders taking part in this meeting include:

    • Dr. Robert Munoz, Vice President for Continuing Education Services - Tarrant County College District
