The CDC describes handwashing like a "do-it-yourself" vaccine -- and we agree! It involves five simple steps (Wet, Lather, Scrub, Rinse, Dry) that help reduce the spread of diarrheal and respiratory illness. Regular handwashing before and after certain activities is one of the best ways to remove germs, avoid getting sick and to prevent the spread of germs to others. It's quick, it's simple and it can keep us all from getting sick.
Tarrant County Public Health has produced a brochure that provides
more information about hand washing. Check it out!
