Tarrant County Executive Order regarding Mandatory Face Masks, Signed June 25, 2020

Tarrant County Judge B. Glen Whitley has signed an Executive Order requiring that face masks be worn in all Tarrant County businesses and at outdoor gatherings of more than 100 people.

The ordinance goes into effect 6 p.m. Friday, June 26, through 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3.

Face coverings include masks, scarves, bandanas or a handkerchief.

The Order also notes that social distancing protocols should still be followed; at least six feet from others whenever possible.

“Patrons who do not wear a face-covering will be asked to leave the premises and will not be provided goods or services until the face-covering requirements are followed,” the ordinance states.
