1. Tarrant County Public Health’s TB Outreach Team performs targeted testing for individuals needing shelter clearance/scan cards at True Worth Place (see address below) on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. (schedules can change due to staffing and County observed holidays).
  2. Our TB Outreach Team collects a blood specimen for screening purposes. Please be sure to drink water prior to coming in for your test. Skin tests are only used in rare cases that are deemed necessary by our Outreach Team and are only offered on Wednesdays.
  3. If a skin test is provided, please be sure to return to True Worth Place on Friday before 10 a.m. for your skin test reading.
  4. If you have EVER tested positive on a skin or blood test for TB, please be sure to tell the TB staff so that other arrangements can be made for your shelter clearance/scan card.
  5. We appreciate your kindness and patience in advance for assisting us in helping you get your scan card/shelter clearance as quickly as possible.
  6. At times, additional testing or screening questions may be required by the Outreach Staff.
  7. If you end up testing positive for TB during the screening process, you will be given an appointment slip in order to follow up with our TB physician to determine if you need additional clinical services.
