Tarrant County Archives is an integral part of our local community. Not only do the Tarrant County Historic Preservation and Archives Office staff regularly addresses Tarrant County groups interested in preserving local history, the Archives Officer also frequently advises local historical societies, museums, businesses, and non-profits, and individuals in Tarrant County on how to best preserve their past. To schedule a talk or consultation, please email archives@tarrantcountytx.gov.

The Archives also offers opportunities for those interested in the Archives profession and those devoted to the preservation of our local past to become involved through internships and volunteer positions. Devoted members of the community participate by performing activities ranging from transcription of diaries to categorizing newspaper clippings for our subject and biographical files.
