For more than 40 years, the Women, Infants and Children (WIC)  nutrition program has helped pregnant women,  new mothers and young children eat well, learn about nutrition and stay healthy. WIC provides services to pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children under the age of five.

All WIC services are free to those who qualify.  (Texas WIC income guidelines)

WIC offers:

  • Nutritious foods,
  • Referrals to other health and medical services, including Public Health immunization clinics.

WIC benefits in Texas are administered by Texas Health and Human Services. Some 1 million women, infants and young children state-wide participate in the program.
