The Citizen Prosecutor Academy (CPA) is an 12-week program designed to give citizens an in-depth understanding of the criminal justice system in Tarrant County.
With our Assistant Criminal District Attorneys and Investigators as instructors, participants review each step of the prosecutorial process to gain an insider's perspective on how the system works.
Classes will be held on Thursday mornings from 10:00am - Noon and evenings from 6:30 - 8:30 pm at the Tim Curry Criminal Justice Center. Graduation will be hosted upon completion of the Academy program.
We are now taking applications for our 2020 Academy classes. The Spring Session begins March 5, 2020 and graduation will be May 21, 2020. Our Fall Academy begins September 3, 2020 and graduation will be November 19, 2020. You will find applications in the buttons below.

Academy attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a tour of the Tarrant County Jail, and observe a criminal trial in progress.
