Horse O' Rama

Horse-O-Rama is the largest annual education equine event in Texas. Implemented by the Tarrant County Extension Horse Committee, horse enthusiasts of all levels come together for three days of fun, education, competition and entertainment.

The goal of Horse-O-Rama is to enhance the quality of life by developing life skills through the networking of various breeds, organizations, associations and interest groups. Using the horse as the foundation to apply educational information, Horse-O-Rama encourages and teaches people this valuable tool.

Horse O' Rama in Fort Worth

Horse-O-Rama is not an event that “stands alone”. Rather it is the culmination of months of prior planning and numerous coordinated activities. These include the “Giddy Up To Read” literacy contest for Fort Worth ISD 4th grade students, and “100 Horses To School” where all participating elementary schools in Tarrant County are visited by a horse and an Extension volunteer.
