BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE
Dora Whalen (1902-1984) was born on May 11, 1902, to John J. Whalen and Ruth Elizabeth Pryor.  Donor and her one sibling John J. Whalen both attended schools in Fort Worth.  The Whalen home residence in the 1920s was 2001 May Street, which is now a parking lot, but the homes next door, similar in style to the Whalen home, still stands.

SCOPE AND CONTENTS
Scrapbooks, programs, newspaper clippings and transfers of title for property.  The materials have been separated into two series: Biographical and Ephemera

The Biographical series (1919-1971) consists of three scrapbooks and title information for a property in Fort Worth, Texas.  Scrapbooks contain clippings, correspondence, ephemera and personal photographs, including those at areas in the region including Lake Worth and Goat Island, Mineral Wells, Weatherford and Oklahoma City.

The Ephemera series (1948) consists of a newspaper flyer "State Fair Preview" dated "October 9-24, 1948," five programs from the Starlight Operetta at the State Fair of Texas and a booklet called the "Fort Worth National Banker" celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Bank in 1948.
