Summary: Melanie Alexander was born in Fort Worth, Texas, where her parents Charles and Betty Alexander moved from Oklahoma, so that her father could attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Melanie was mostly raised overseas, but attended Fort Worth's Paschal High School for one year. She worked for Tarrant County in the Information Technology Department from 1997 through 2018. She has long held an interest in history and genealogy, and started her collection by purchasing two post cards at an antique sale at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in 2012.
