    Donating to the Archives

    Tarrant County Archives encourages both groups and individuals to donate materials relating to Tarrant County history.  We are looking for the following types of materials:

    • Albums, journals, diaries, letters or scrapbooks
    • Histories of churches, clubs, businesses and organizations
    • Family histories and documents of historical value
    • Land-related documents, such as deeds and Abstracts of Title
    • Maps of Tarrant County, towns in Tarrant County, Northwest Texas and Texas
    • Newspapers of historic value from Tarrant County communities
    • Oral histories on tape and/or in transcript
    • Photographs and postcards

    Tarrant County Archives honors significant gifts of historically valuable material by naming a collection for the donor. If you wish to waive this legacy by remaining anonymous, please write "anonymous" under stipulations on the Gift Form.

    Other types of material may be accepted. If you have materials that you would like to donate or allow the Archives to copy, please contact the Archivist. If you are unable to visit in person, you may send the donation along with a signed copy of this Gift Form to:

    Financial gifts are also accepted for Archives Collections development and for the Exhibits Fund. Make any checks payable to Tarrant County Archives and specify in which of these ways you would like the funds spent.
