    The Communications and Technology Division consists of four operational units:

    The Information Technology Division is made up of four full-time employees who support desktop computers, servers and applications. The Information Technology Division has won awards for the following: In 2004, Best Practices Award from the Texas Association of Counties for implementing iris recognition as a biometric identification tool in the jail. In 2006, Exceptional Delivery of Services for "Web-Based Crime Mapping." In 2007, Exceptional Delivery of Services for "Tuberculosis and Medical Screening." The Information Technology Division is supervised by Terry Williams.   

    The Records Division is made up of seven full-time employees who manage records in accordance with state law and service open records requests.   In 2002, the Records Division won a Best Practices Award from the Texas Association of Counties for their efforts in digital imaging.  The Records Division is managed by Jerry Rucker.

    The Communications Division is made up of 28 full-time employees who answer 9-1-1 calls and dispatch units in response.  In 2003, the Communications Division won a Best Practices Award from the Texas Association of Counties for implementing a system that could plot wireless 9-1-1 calls on a map without any location information from the caller. The Communications Division is supervised by Lieutenant Amy Blaustein.

    The Property Room is made up of three full-time employees who store and coordinate the disposition of property and evidence. The Property Room is supervised by Sergeant Thomas Smith.
