Vinny Taneja, TCPH Director (center), accepts National Public Health Week in Tarrant County proclamation from Roy Charles Brooks, Tarrant County Commissioner, Precinct 1, at Commissioners Court, held April 7, 2015.
National Public Health Week started off Monday with President Obama issuing a proclamation recognizing the value public health workers deliver to our country every day. Take a look!
Our own Commissioners will issue a proclamation Tuesday at Commissioners Court, recognizing Public Health Week in Tarrant County!
I would like for all to learn more about Public Health Week and participate in celebrating the recognition of Public Health across the country. It is our opportunity to celebrate and share the importance of our work and the impact it has on the health of our communities.
If you would like learn more, please visit our Facebook and Twitter pages often this week as we will have plenty of interesting information to share about National Public Health Week and health initiatives in Tarrant County.
Of course, it would be great thing if you could share these on your own Facebook and Twitter pages! It would help spread the awareness and help us, as a full-service health department, reach out to residents who use social media.
Have a great week!
Veerinder (Vinny) Taneja
Public Health Director
