    AgriLife Extension Financial Education Program

        Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service ~ Tarrant County has begun recruiting for their 2015 Dollar$ & $ense Volunteer program.  The Dollar$ & $ense program is a train-the-trainer program focusing on teaching financial management topics in the community, including developing and using spending plans, tracking expenses, managing credit and understanding risk.

        The volunteer training consists of 30 hours of educational training with a minimum of 30 hours give-back to Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service ~ Tarrant County.  Extension has a long history of utilizing volunteers to assist in extending educational programs in the community.  Extension provides research-based programs that offer participants unbiased information.

        Anyone interested in becoming more money savvy and giving back to their community by helping others learn how to manage money better should consider being a Dollar$ & $ense volunteer.

        The training will be Friday’s, October 2, 9, 16 and 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Tarrant County Plaza Building, 200 Taylor Street, Suite 500, Fort Worth, TX 76102.  The cost for the training is $50.  Those interested should contact the Extension office to receive an application and criminal background check form.  Paperwork and payment are due by Friday, September 25.
