Veerinder Taneja, the county’s new health director, was officially welcomed today by the Tarrant County Commissioners Court.

Taneja has more than 13 years of public health experience. He previously served as Deputy Health Officer and Acting Director of the Wayne County Health Department in Michigan.

He earned his medical degree (MBBS) from Manipal Academy of Higher Education in India, and his Masters in Public Health (MPH) from Eastern Kentucky University.

“We are pleased that Veerinder Taneja has accepted our offer to become the director of Tarrant County Public Health,” said County Administrator G.K.
