Tarrant County has combined is usual biannual auctions into one annual event for 2014 that will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at the Windy Ryon Rodeo Arena in Saginaw.

By avoiding the sweltering heat or frigid cold of the previous events held in August and January events, Purchasing Officer Jack Beacham hopes the mild weather this weekend will increase public participation.

Coincidentally, many of the items offered Friday include lawn maintenance equipment and tools at a time when many are beginning yard work or do-it-yourself projects.

Vehicles up for auction include a 2009 Jaguar sedan and a 1998 Chevrolet Corvette.  Electronics include popular gaming systems, computers, Blu-ray players and flat screen TVs.  Those tired of waiting for cities to fix potholes may want to look into the Asphalt Planer and two pavers offered in the inventory.

For a complete list of items, go to http://www.renebates.com.  Look for the links under the title “Tarrant County, Texas – Joint Live Auction.” (The list is so long, news organizations may want to post this link on their websites.)

The Windy Ryon Rodeo Arena is located north of Meacham Field on North Main Street (Highway 287) and is just north of Loop 820 in Saginaw.  Most of the merchandise will be available for inspection on Friday, May 16 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
