    The Commissioners Court will consider a resolution formally naming the new maximum security jail facility during its regular meeting at 10 a.m.  A formal ribbon cutting will take place at 2 p.m.

    Lon Evans Corrections Center facts:
    1. 5 level, 207,700 square foot building.
    2. 444 maximum security inmate beds.
      1. 96 male medical beds.
      2. 189 male single cells.
      3. 96 male separation cells (separation cells have shower).
      4. 39 female single cells.
      5. 24 female separation cells.
    3. Full cook kitchen with a capacity of 16,500 hot meals per day (5,500 inmates).
    4. Started construction in April 2010.
    5. Budgeted project cost: $83.3 million
    6. Anticipated project cost: $78.6 million
