    Background:  
    The 231,934 square foot, seven-floor building will include 12 civil district courtrooms and one large courtroom for complex cases as well as offices for Jury Services and the District Clerk.  About 32,000 square feet will be left as a shell on the sixth floor for future expansion.
     
    The construction cost is estimated at $57 million.  It will be completed by the winter of 2014-15.
