Attorneys to Collect Delinquent 2011 Tax AccountsBeginning July 1st

Delinquent property taxes are turned over to attorneys for collection on July 1st of each year.  There is an additional expense for the attorney involvement, usually 20 percent of the total bill, for property taxes paid after June 30.

Failure to receive a tax statement does not mean penalty, interest or attorney fee can be waived.  Tarrant County residents can check on the status of their tax statements either on line at www.tarrantcounty.com/etax or by contacting the Tax Office at 817-884-1100.

Property taxes can be paid with either a credit card or eCheck on-line at www.tarrantcounty.com/etax or by telephone by calling 817-884-1110.  American Express is only taken in person - not through the Tarrant County Web Portal or over the phone.  Those who pay by credit card will be charged a convenience fee by the processing agent.

Be sure to mail early, as the timing of tax payments is determined by the postmark.

Residents can pay their taxes in person at the main office at 100 E. Weatherford Street in downtown Fort Worth or at any one of the 7 Tarrant County subcourthouses. Please call 817-884-1100 to determine the most convenient location.
