Biannual County Auction to Feature Corvette, Jewelry and a One-Eyed Horse!

Tarrant County's Biannual Auction will take place at 9 a.m. Saturday, August 13, at the Windy Ryon Rodeo Arena in Saginaw.

Besides the usual government-surplus vehicles, confiscated cars, stereo equipment and flat screen TVs, this auction features about several pieces of jewelry.

One of the vehicles up for auction is a 1999 Chevrolet Covette, which comes with an extra custom aluminum engine block and other unattached accessories.

The Sheriff's Office has also include a one-eyed horse and a cow that it has had trouble selling on its own.

For a complete list of items, go to Look for the links under the title "Tarrant County, Texas - Joint Live Auction." (The list is so long, news organizations may want to post this link on their websites.)

The Windy Ryon Rodeo Arena is located north of Meacham Field on North Main Street (Highway 287) and is just north of Loop 820 in Saginaw. Most of the merchandise will be available for inspection on Friday, August 12 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
