County Criminal Court No. 9 has unpaid internship positions for law school or college students available.  The positions are limited and subject to approval.  All interns are required to appear at regular times as agreed to by the judge and the student.  Prospective interns will be required to submit to a background check which will require disclosure of any criminal history.  A person with a final felony conviction is not eligible for an internship.  All other matters will be considered on a case by case basis.  Contact the Court at 817-884-3410 for more information.

Approved interns will receive an official ID badge and parking privileges.

The typical internship experience may include observation of Court proceedings, juvenile matters, tour of the jail, observe probation officers, ride along with the Sheriff's Department, Mental Health Court, various meetings with governmental officials and community groups.  There are projects that often require intern assistance.
