Constable Joe D. “Jody” Johnson is a lifelong resident of Northwest Tarrant County. He began his highly decorated and distinguished career at the Fort Worth Police Training Academy in 1985. Starting as a patrol officer he was soon assigned to street crimes and narcotics, from there he was assigned to be a member of Fort Worth’s elite SWAT team where he spent 15 of his 30 years as a Fort Worth police officer before retiring in 2016 as a member of the Fort Worth Police Mounted Patrol Unit.
Constable Johnson has earned the Master Peace Officer designation and is a Certified Instructor in the following law enforcement disciplines: Basic Handgun, Patrol Rifle, Machine Gun and Advanced Sniper. He is also a Certified FBI Physical Fitness Instructor and certified in Civil Process. He was a Police Academy Firearms Instructor for 20 years.
Constable Johnson is active throughout the community -- supporting handicapped, seniors and various other civic organizations throughout Tarrant County Constable Precinct 4.
