CSCD provides several educational programs developed to assist probationers with specific problem areas that threaten their successful completion of supervision, such as finances and behavior. Several officers have been trained to facilitate the classes for offenders at the various office locations throughout the county. The cognitive behavior courses are designed to increase motivation for behavior change, to develop tools used in changing criminal thinking and behavior and to improve problem-solving skills. The “Brief Intervention” course, using TCU’s "Getting Motivated to Change" curriculum, is designed to address motivations and readiness for change. “Personal Money Power”, a curriculum developed to assist probationers who are experiencing financial issues, is offered for probationers who need assistance with managing their personal finances.

All of these programs are offered free of charge through Tarrant County CSCD.
