The Criminal Justice Coordinator oversees the activity of the Criminal Justice Office and Pretrial Services. A thorough knowledge of criminology and the criminal justice system is needed that includes law enforcement, prosecution, courts, corrections, and the community; is responsible for criminal justice system research, planning and coordination; serves as the criminal justice policy advisor to Commissioners Court; prepares the annual criminal justice plan; represents the Commissioners Court at meetings; monitors state/county relations as they relate to criminal justice; and participates in the grant process and program development when directed.
