Public Health often sponsors health-related classes, workshops and
presentations for both the general public and our shareholders. These
are often low-cost or free, and are mostly held on one or more of our
education rooms at the Dr. Marion J. Brooks Building, Tarrant County
Public Health, 1101 South Main Street, Fort Worth, TX 76104.
A continuing educational
opportunity ongoing until June 4, 2019
The recent outbreaks of Zika virus and increase in reported related
birth defects have presented new and challenging questions. The body
of knowledge related to Zika is emerging. This ZIKA Workshop aims to
give the healthcare provider some answers and quidelines for talking
to patients about Zika and testing when appropriate. Physicians,
physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers and
certified public health professionals will benefit from completing
this activity. This program was developed by the University of North
Texas Health Science Center and Tarrant County Public Health.
