The Surgeon General talks to Sesame Street's Elmo about vaccinations.

Your child needs at least six shot visits by age 2. Your baby is counting on you.

Tarrant County Public Health is a member of the Big Cities Health Coalition (BCHC), a national advocacy group made up of the top public health officials of the largest cities in the United States. With the support of the BCHC, Health Director Vinny Taneja from the Tarrant County Public Health department filmed a PSA urging parents to vaccinate their children.

Tarrant County Public Health provides immunizations at all of our Public Health Centers. All Public Health Centers are open from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday-Friday; however, immunization service hours are specifically listed below.

Appointments are not required for immunizations as they are given on a walk-in basis during the times listed for immunization hours. However, if capacity is reached at an earlier time, the immunization registrations will stop for that time period. This will allow those who are already registered for immunizations to be served before closing.

Immunization fees for children under 19 years who qualify for the Vaccines for Children program are $14 for the first immunization and $25 for two or more immunizations. This program includes children on Medicaid and CHIP as well as children who are underinsured (their insurance does not cover vaccines) or uninsured.

Fees for other immunizations vary. You may call the Public Health Center for those fees as well as answers to other questions you may have.

This is the most up-to-date information for our fees.

Occasionally, it is necessary for the Public Health Centers to close during regular business hours for vaccine inventory or training. When this occurs a sign will be posted prior to the closure showing the date and time. Please contact 817-321-5311 if you have any questions or concerns.

Vaccines are not just for kids.

Don't forget, adults need vaccines, too!
