Project HIP, Health Information is Power, is an STD/HIV prevention education curriculum. It is a train-the-trainer tool developed as a result of a call-to-action made by Commissioner Roy Brooks, requesting that public health address the consistently higher number of sexually transmitted infections, including HIV, disproportionately affecting youth in Tarrant County.
Project HIP reaches out to educate the community through social service agencies, schools and faith-based agencies. The target age for Project HIP workshops are teenagers and young adults 13-24 years old.
