Most property and mineral accounts in Tarrant County are eligible for the half payment option.
The half payment option allows taxpayers in Tarrant County to pay one-half of the current year taxes by
November 30, 2018. The second half payment is due June 30, 2019. See details below.
FIRST ONE-HALF PAYMENT:
• The first payment must be made online before midnight November 30, 2018 or received in one
of our branch locations on or before November 30, 2018.
• Mailed payments must be postmarked on or before November 30, 2018.
SECOND ONE-HALF PAYMENT:
• The second payment must be made online before midnight June 30, 2019 or received in one of
our branch locations on or before June 30, 2019.
• Mailed payments must be postmarked on or before June 30, 2019.
• We will send a courtesy reminder; however, failure to receive this notice does not extend the
deadline for the second payment. It is the taxpayer’s responsibility to pay by the deadline.
Statements have been mailed for most accounts. Taxpayers can also view their statement online at
Taxpayers with accounts that have not been updated by Tarrant Appraisal District (TAD) for the current
year can choose to take advantage of the half-payment option using the 2017 tax amount. However,
they still must meet the deadline of November 30, 2018 to qualify. The account will be corrected to
reflect the half-payment once the update is received from TAD.
Taxpayers with accounts that have not been updated by TAD for the current year and are new accounts
without prior years available are not eligible for the half-payment option.
