Dear Precinct 2 Community,
During last week’s Commissioners Court meeting the Court approved
the addition of a site for COVID-19 testing in or around the 76010 zip
code area in Southeast Tarrant County. The County Administrator will
begin negotiations with Catalyst Health Network for testing services
at this site. This effort has been a priority of Commissioner Allen’s
and in direct response to the expressed needs of our community.
Our COVID-19 data has shown that the 76010 zip code has been greatly
affected by COVID-19 and needs a permanent testing site to address the
health concerns of our community. A location in this area will enable
more residents in east and southeast Arlington and western Grand
Prairie to have greater access to testing.
Thank you to all of those who have reached out to our offices to
express your concerns for this area and made us aware of your needs.
We are listening!
Our Court also recently approved two new Tarrant County
CARES Act assistance programs: a Small Business Assistance Grant
Program aimed at helping small businesses located in Tarrant County
that were negatively impacted by COVID-19 and a Rental Assistance
Program for individuals residing in Tarrant County who experienced
income loss as a result of COVID-19. Stay tuned for more information
and we will be sure to update you once these two programs have
